E-scooters more and more popular but illegal
What do you think about this. There is more and more people buying e-scooters because of high gas prices but it is illegal to use them on the city streets and sidewalks. They can be used in some parks but there is no way you could use them for every day commuting. Do you think that legislation should be changed to include e-scooters or maybe it is too dangerous to ride them on city streets and sidewalks? We want to go green but i think we need to change the infrastructure too. What about electric wheelchairs? I saw many times people driving them on busy streets and sidewalks. Actually, it was quite scary. What is your opinion?
It is all politics. Extremely high gas prices make people to search alternate solution. One of them are e-scooters. If they decide that we will have to improve and change infrastructure we will have to pay for it. I mean we British Columbia residents. They will raise taxes or maybe even bump up price of electricity. There is nothing for free these days my friend.
However, I think that we need better infrastructure if we want to use e-scooters for commuting. Something should be done for sure.
