Federal election 2025 in Canada

Hello everyone,

It looks like liberals win Canada's election. Carney vows to ‘represent everyone. What a joke 🤣. What do you think about the outcome? Does it mean that everything changes for worse in Canada? Liberals govern our country for so long and life in Canada gets more and more difficult each year. However, people chose the government in free and democtratic election. Similar as in US. Let's see what happens to our beautiful country. Any thoughts? Please do not say: Let's make Canada great again because this will not happen any time soon. Cheers.

Do you agree that Canadians are tolerant?

Would you agree with the mentioned above. Everyone says that Canada is generally known for its tolerant and inclusive society. The country has a long history of welcoming immigrants and refugees from all over the world and has a reputation for promoting multiculturalism and diversity. This is true but definitely Canada is not perfect place to live in. Despite Canada's reputation as a tolerant and inclusive society, incidents of racism and discrimination still occur, and there are individuals and groups in Canada who hold prejudiced attitudes and beliefs towards people of different races, religions, and ethnicities. In recent years, there have been several high-profile incidents of racism in Canada that have garnered national attention and sparked public debate about issues of prejudice and discrimination. These incidents include instances of hate speech, racial profiling, and discrimination in employment, housing, and other areas.

On the other hand majority of Canadians support LGBTQ+ rights and equality, according to polls and surveys. There are also many LGBTQ+ organizations and communities across the country that provide support and resources for individuals who identify as LGBTQ+.

It looks like some may be accepting and supportive of their LGBTQ+ friends and family members, but hold intolerant views towards people of a certain religion, culture, race or political ideology.

As the conclusion I think that tolerance is not an all-or-nothing characteristic, and individuals can hold contradictory beliefs and attitudes towards different issues or people.

Tsawwassen Mills shopping mall experience

Hello everyone,

I would like to share with what I saw at Tsawwassen Mills shopping mall. I really like this mall and I like to spend my spare time there. However, I was really surprised when I tried to get a coffee at Tim Hortons. Please take a look at the pictures, It is huge turn off for me. What do you think. Is it only me or you also think that this is totally wrong. Of course I did not get a coffee this time but I looked at the place and there were lots of people inside ordering drinks and food. I think that people should boycott such places. I always thought that Tim Hortons is clean and reliable coffee shop. I just changed my mind.

Financing at local stores!!!

Hello everyone. Do you know what the best of financing options in local stores are? I was informed at BestBuy recently that my old card with BestBuy and Desjardins is not longer anymore. I was surprised as I did not received any information about the cancellation either from BestBuy or Desjardins. I guess they do not care about the customers anymore. Apparently there is new Best Buy Card Financing with Fairstone. I need to apply again to get this new credit card. Do you have similar experience with any other stores? What financing options do you use?

Swoop and other "cheap" or if you prefer budget airlines

Hello everyone. What is your experience with cheap airlines? I have been thinking about Swoop. I used them few times already and recently they seem to be pretty bad. There is tons of delays and cancellations. I know that you can say: You get what you pay for, but the point is that they offer certain service and they should provide it instead of deceiving people. One of my flights was just cancelled. The other one was delayed 6 hours. Is it really fair? I missed my appointments and meetings, as well as I lost time and money. I read about them and Swoop has been getting a lot of bad press lately. I am not sure what the problem is but if you choose Swoop hoping to save some money it can turn out to be more expensive and stressful than choosing regular airlines. They don’t have big enough fleet and they are not able to offer new flights on the same day. I know that all airlines experience cancellations and unexpected delays, but in case of Swoop it seems to be normal and regular thing. Unless there is something I am not aware of.

What is your experience with "cheap" airlines. Which one is the best for you. Please share your experience.

Do you guys follow Soccer World Cup in Qatar? Our first game is tomorrow, November 23 against Belgium. For the team Canada to play the No. 2 team in the world, that’s a big test. Let's support our boys and let's hope for the best. Our group is F. We still face Croatia and Morocco.
